Should I hire directly or use Ramp Remote?

Hire directly when you want to arrange recruitment and the working relationship yourself, with the support needed to meet the obligations of that arrangement. With Ramp Remote, we recruit and employ your person in the Philippines. You choose the person and lead the work.

Finding your person
Direct: you source, assess and select candidates.
Ramp: we find and assess people; you meet them and choose who joins your team.
Employment and payroll
Direct: you establish the legal arrangement and organise contracts, pay and applicable obligations.
Ramp: we employ your person in the Philippines and handle their employment contract, payroll and government contributions.
Equipment and support
Direct: you agree and arrange equipment, access and support.
Ramp: we provide the laptop, equipment and IT support. You provide access to your business systems.
Daily work
Direct: you agree priorities, working hours and how performance is reviewed.
Ramp: you still lead the work and give feedback; we support the employment relationship and help when something needs sorting.

An employer of record is the legal employer for a person working with another business. Ramp’s service combines finding your person with employing and supporting them. Confirm the scope of any provider’s service in its agreement.
